On the 10th of January, a delegation of the American embassy in Baghdad visited Esyan Camp to observe the circumstances of the IDPs from close by. The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Laylan Mohammad, the program manager of BRHA and the manager of Esyan Camp.
The establishment of the foundations for the 131 new houses at Domiz 2 Camp is continuing and will be ongoing for about 2 months. In cooperation with the management of Domiz 2 Camp (BRHA), the organization Human Appeal has made the project possible.
On the 9th of January the organization Step-In received a certificate of appreciation for their role in supporting the IDPs and refugees in the province of Duhok, especially in the sector of health.
On the 7th of January, special items were distributed among the IDPs with special needs at Bersivy 2 Camp. The distribution was made possible by UNHCR and QANDIL, in cooperation with the management of the camp (BRHA).
On the 8th of January, 2 courses came to an end in an official ceremony at Mamrashan Camp. In cooperation with the management of the camp (BRHA), BCF and IGFM had given 2 courses to 150 women at the camp (among them, the women the were freed from Daesh (ISIS) captivity). The courses consisted of “sewing” and “removing illiteracy” and took more than 2 months.
