Mr. Ismail Mohamed Ahmed, the assistant of the governor of Duhok in IDP and refugee affairs; Mr. Idrees Nabi Saalih, the executive director of BRHA and several directors of governmental agencies, visited Amala camp in the district of Zumar. The purpose of the visit was, to see the progress of the establishment of the camp themselves. Mr. Ismail Mohamed Ahmed spoke to the organizations and companies that are building the camp and emphasized the importance of finishing the camp in the appointed time, to be ready for the IDPs coming from Mosul. After that, Mr. Ismail Mohamed Ahmed visited the reception of the camp and told them to be ready for the coming of the IDPs and to help them in the best possible way.

It is worth mentioning, that the camp has been finished for about 70%.

As a preparation for the winter, the Dohuk governorate started with the distribution of kerosene among the IDP families of Dawidiya camp in the district of Amedy. This happened in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement and the Iraqi Ministry of Petroleum. Each family received about 200 liters of kerosene and about 745 families will benefit from this distribution. The distribution of kerosene will continue until all IDP and refugee families in the province of Duhok have received their share.

With the aim of getting to know the living circumstances of the IDP residents from close by and to know what is needed at the camp, on the 17th of October, in the presence of Ms. Laylan Mohamed Saalih, the program manager of BRHA and Mr. Karam Knk, the president of the Turkish red crescent, visited Esyan camp and was welcomed by the management of the camp. Ms. Laylan Mohamed Saalih spoke about the living circumstances of the IDPs and refugees that live in the province of Duhok. After that, they spoke about the living circumstances of the residents of Esyan camp and the shortcomings of the camp. They also spoke about the camps that are being built for the IDPs that will be fleeing Mosul during the battle. Until now two camps have been built and the third one is being built. BRHA will be responsible for managing the camps. The president of the Turkish red crescent showed his appreciation towards BRHA, for the hard work they do in aiding and assisting the IDPs and refugees living inside and outside the camps in the province of Duhok.
