In cooperation with the management of Mamrashan Camp, VOP distributed gifts among the the children at the camp that were freed from Daa’ash (ISIS) captivity. This was done for the purpose of supporting these children and making them happy. The activity took place on the 13th of August, 2017.
In cooperation with the management of Mamrashan Camp, an English language course was given at the camp. The course came to an end on the 8th of August, 2017. About 140 individuals benefited from the two-month course. At the end of the course the participants received a certificate.
On the 16th of July, the ceremony of opening a football field (made possible by CARITAS) at Mamrashan Camp took place. Among those who were present were, Mr. Ismail Mohamed Ahmed (the governor’s assistant), Mr. Idrees Nabi Saalih (the executive director of BRHA) and Ms. Laylan Mohamed Saalih (the program manager of BRHA). At the end of the ceremony two teams played a friendly match on the new football field.
After an inspection team was formed, consisting of the management of Mamrashan Camp and the police at the camp, the expiry dates of the food items in the stores in Mamrashan Camp were checked on the 6th of July, 2017.
In cooperation with Mamrashan Camp and Esyan Camp, BCF distributed monetary aid among the orphans at the camps on the 8th of June, 2017. About 1,100,000 IQD was distributed among 9 families at Mamrashan Camp and 975,000 IQD among 9 families at Esyan Camp.
After an inspection team was formed, consisting of the management of Mamrashan Camp and the police at the camp, the expiry dates of the food items in the stores in Mamrashan Camp were checked on the 8th of June, 2017. This happened in cooperation with Hivi (organization).
In cooperation with the camps of Mamrashan and Shekhan, kerosene was distributed among the IDPs at both camps on the 4th of June, 2017. About 1,000 families at Shekhan Camp and 1,068 families at Mamrashan Camp benefited from the distribution and received 40 liters of kerosene each.
Under the auspices of Mr. Farhad Amin, the governor of Duhok, a youth and volunteers center and several halls were opened (for sewing courses, courses on how to create furniture and for solving psychological issues) on the 24th of May, 2017. The centers and the halls were made possible by CARITAS.
In cooperation with the management of Mamrashan Camp, CARITAS provided the health center of the camp with an ultrasound (sonar) machine on the 30th of April, 2017. The management of the camp thanked CARITAS for their support.
