On the 28th of June, several courses for improving the skills of IDPs came to an end. The courses consisted of topics on: sports, languages, media, coexistence and some other topics. Children up to the age of 18 participated in the courses, which were given at Shekhan Camp, Esyan Camp, Mamrashan Camp and Dawidiya Camp.
At Dawidiya Camp an English course that was organized for the youth at the camp, came to an end on the 21st of June, 2018. The course, that was organized by VOP (in cooperation with the management of the camp) took 20 days and about 60 individuals participated in the course. At the end of the course, the participants received certificates .
The expiration dates of products were checked at the stores in Dawidiya Camp on the 25th of March, 2018. Several products were seized in the process.
In cooperation with the management of Dawidiya Camp, a course was organized on how to establish projects for 20 individuals at the camp. The course took 5 days and came to an end on the 19th of March, 2018.
Under the supervision of the management of Dawidiya Camp, the volley ball tournament at the camp came to an end on the 7th of March, 2018. The tournament had been organized by VOP, in cooperation with the management of the aforementioned camp, for the women at the camp. Eight teams participated in the tournament and the participants of the winning team were awarded gifts.
A cabin at Dawidiya Camp caught fire due to an electrical heater on the 31st of January, 2018. This caused 6 cabins to be burned to the ground and the residents lost their possessions in the process. The good news is that no lives were lost in the accident.
In cooperation with BRHA, the ministry of Migration and Displacement started the distribution of kerosene among the IDPs at the camps in the province of Duhok on the 28th of November, 2017. The distribution started at Dawidiya Camp and about 660 families at the camp benefited from the distribution and received 200 liters each.
