On the 24th of September, the governor’s assistant, Mr. Ismail Mohamed Ahmed, had a meeting with ACTED, GIZ and the general directorate of municipalities on the development of a station at Faydiye for the maintenance of the sewers. During the meeting they spoke about the realization of the project. This project will benefit thousands of IDPs, refugees and the locals of Faydiye, Domiz and surrounding areas.
The project will start soon and will be funded by ACTED and GIZ. The project will be established under the supervision of the general directorate of municipalities, in cooperation with BRHA.

On the 24th of September, tents were distributed among the IDPs (whose tents have deteriorated) at Bersivy 2 Camp. Qandil made this possible in cooperation with BRHA (the management of Bersivy 2 Camp). During this process, 581 tents were distributed. The tents were distributed now because of the coming Winter.
With the support of the organizations inside the camp and a number of IDPs, a cleaning day was organized at Bajid Kandala Camp on the 23rd of September, 2018. During this day people were also given advice on hygiene.
The French senator and French consul visited Sharya Camp on the 18th of September, 2018. During the visit Mr. Ismail Mohammed Ahmed expressed that he hopes that the support of the French government will continue. The delegation also visited the IDPs at the camp, to observe the circumstances of the IDPs from close by.
The Iraqi Red Crescent and the Norwegian Red Cross provided the camps of Domiz with necessary items for the ambulances on the 17th of September, 2018.
On the 16th of September, Mr. Ismail Mohammed Ahmed, welcomed the head of WHH in the KRG. During the meeting they spoke about the circumstances of the IDPs and refugees in the province of Duhok. WHH is running several projects to improve the circumstances of the IDPs, refugees and local people of Duhok.
